The Silent Cries of a HELLP Syndrome Baby is the story of the premature birth of the Knox's baby boy. Jackson was born very prematurely (24 weeks gestation) due to complications caused by HELLP. The Knox's use their personal story to inform others about the devastating impact of this apparently underdiagnosed condition.

Silent Cries takes you into the private lives of the Knox family as they cope with Rebecca's pregnancy complications and Jackson's untimely birth. Jackson survives his roller coaster hospital journey of five and a half months, maturing into a lively three year old with some of the milder preemie complications. Silent Cries concludes with a number of rather harrowing and touching stories of HELPP pregnancies, which highlight the apparent lack of awareness in the medical profession of this devastating illness. It includes an introduction to the HELLP syndrome for those who wish to learn more about this condition.
